Whether you are expecting your first child, or you’ve been through this “rodeo” before, the diaper bag is usually one of the first things you’ll pick out in preparation for the baby.
Having the right diaper bag can often be the difference between a nice day out and having a mini meltdown in Target when you can’t find the pacifier or get to that extra change of clothes without dumping out the whole bag!
As a mom, I’ve been through a few diaper bags in my hunt for one that didn’t make me bonkers.
It seems I was always sacrificing style for practicality or the other way around. (Is it too hard to ask for the best of both worlds!?). When shopping for a new diaper bag, most of us will first think of the practicality and ability to keep things organized. But many of us will also care about how it looks.
Can it easily be used by mom and dad? Does it LOOK like a diaper bag? Is it appropriate for your child’s gender? (or does that even matter?)
With all those questions in mind, we have put together a list of the best diaper bags under $50, so you can look stylish without spending a lot of money!

1) Best Diaper Bags Under $50: Angel Love Diaper Bag Backpack
I really like this first bag on the list because it is HUGE and versatile. The Angel Love diaper bag has handbag handles, backpack ability and stroller straps for when you’re on the go and need to be hands free. It’s also enormous!
This backpack style diaper bag is large enough to carry everything you need for baby and your laptop without problems. The multiple pockets inside help keep things organized – even with two children – there is still plenty of room for all the necessities.
The only consistent comment is that there is no insulated compartment for storing bottles, which can be problematic. Some buyers said they had room for a small lunchbox, however, you could also use a bottle cooler and attach it using the stroller straps.
As a mom of (almost) 2, I am thrilled that I can get such a large bag for under 50 bucks. Having all the room and organizing compartments would eliminate the need for me to carry a purse on top of everything else and I definitely like that idea!
2) Best Diaper Bags Under $50: Halcent Durable and Stylish Baby Diaper Bag Backpack
This diaper bag screams style! There aren’t many backpack style diaper bags out there that look like “designer” bags without breaking the $50 budget we set for this list. However, the Halcent diaper bag checks that box and also manages to be super practical.
This is another large, high-capacity bag capable of holding everything you need for the day. There are 9 storage compartments to keep things organized and a 3-bottle insulated storage area. Everything zips up and is well contained to maintain a very stylish and “put together” look.
My favorite feature with this bag is the separated wet and dry storage area. Whether using disposable or cloth diapers you can store the clean and dirty diapers in different areas to keep things clean.
I thought this was perfect for those accidental “blow-out” situations where you typically end up with dirty clothes and no place to put them. This is one of my favorite diaper bags under $50 and will be at the top of my list with baby number two on the way. I just wish there were more colors available!
3) Best Diaper Bags Under $50: Harrito Diaper Bag
The Harrito diaper bag has 10 organizing pockets, 5 inside and 5 outside, for maximum organization. It also includes a matching changing pad and single thermal bottle holder.
I like that this bag is machine washable, since that’s my preferred method for cleaning. I also like that it has a reinforces PU leather bottom and PU leather straps. This diaper bag comes with matching stroller straps so it’s easy to use with a stroller thrown in the mix.
Again, this bag is budget friendly and actually one of the more inexpensive diaper bags on our best diaper bag list. You really get a lot of bang for your buck with this one!
4) Best Diaper Bags Under $50: Danha Diaper Bag w/ Matching Changing Pad
However, that isn’t all it has to offer.
Not only is that arrow pattern adorable, but it’s also made of a high quality canvas material which will hold up well with long term use and tends to look less dirty over time.
I did notice that this bag doesn’t have an insulated pocket for bottles, but that’s really the only drawback I could find.
This is a messenger style/cross-body type diaper bag, but it does come with stroller straps for ease of use. It is high capacity and has plenty of organizing pockets both inside and outside so you can keep everything for your baby right at your fingertips.
It also includes an adorable, pattern-matching changing pad!
That’s all, folks!
That does it for our list of best diaper bags under $50! I’m not looking to break the bank here. I just want a cut bag that does the job, and I would be happy with any of the four on this list.
The Halcent diaper bag is probably my favorite with that wet/dry area, however while it is very stylish, I would like more color selection. I tend to favor backpack-style bags personally, but the Danha bag probably had my favorite design!
What is the thing you MUST have when shopping for your diaper bag? (For me, it’s plenty of organization pockets!) I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
