The nursery chair (or, as some call it, a nursery glider). You definitely want the best nursery glider you can get.
From sleepless newborn nights to story time with my toddler, my nursery chair has many miles. The chair is more for us as parents than the baby, but it has to be great for both!

Best Nursing Chair/Glider #1: DaVinci Piper All-Purpose Upholstered Recliner
This DaVinci chair is the Cadillac of nursing chairs. This chair is not only stylish and plush, it reclines and has additional lumbar support as well! I would be happy to have this stylish chair in any room of my house, but it really is a great addition for any modern baby nursery.
Many people who purchased this chair agree this is a stylish chair with many years in its life. It has 360-degree swivel motion and can recline back far enough for a little shut eye if you need it!
While this nursing chair is a recliner itself, there is a gliding ottoman that can be purchased for a more cohesive look and comfortable experience. However, while this is certainly one of the best nursing chairs I’ve ever seen, it is a bit on the expensive side. So, the glider at an additional cost may not be the most economical choice.
Best Nursing Chair/Glider #2: DaVinci Olive Upholstered Swivel Glider with Bonus Ottoman
Based on many reviews, this chair is great for taller parents to comfortably sit and rest their heads back, it is wide enough for nursing, and has the additional lumbar support for those LONG nights.
This chair is well made and is sure the stand the test of time from pregnancy to childhood. It will easily move to other rooms of your home as your children outgrow the need for a nursing glider in their room.
My only concern is that lack of gliding function in the ottoman may not function well when you are rocking. I like to have the ottoman and the chair move together when I am rocking! There’s just something about rocking and having the ottoman stationary that doesn’t feel as relaxing to me.
Best Nursing Chair/Glider #3: Stork Craft Tuscany Custom Glider and Ottoman with Lumbar Pillow
This chair is a little more on the traditional side. This is a more classic version of a nursery glider chair, so you have the wood and the wrapped look to the cushion and upholstery.
This chair is going to be more budget friendly, which is why it makes my list as a best nursery glider. It comes in a variety of colors to match your nursery theme and the chair comes with an ottoman.
One of the features about this chair customers like best? Even though it is more traditional, it requires minimal assembly and has a nice smooth glide. So, with the reduced cost you are still getting a high-quality chair without the headache of assembly. It also comes with a lumbar pillow to assist in getting just the right support while gliding.
The fabric in the chair is made for spot treating and made to stand up to the paces that nursing chairs often face. However, with the reduced cost you do lose the recline feature that the other nursery gliders on this list possess.
Best Nursing Chair/Glider #4: Baby Relax Mikayla Swivel Gliding Recliner
The Baby Relax Mikayla nursing glider is one of the best nursing chairs for small rooms. This chair is more than our previous contender, the Storkcraft chair, but it blends the best of both worlds with the Davinci chairs.
This nursery glider is stylish and plush, so it will feel great for long nights of baby rocking. It also has one of the best reclining features we’ve seen in the nursing chair world. Many reviewers comment about how comfortable this chair is!
The reason this chair is one of the best nursing chairs for small rooms is because it doesn’t necessarily need an ottoman. It has a nice reclining feature with the built-in rest for your tired legs and feet. It will help keep you extra comfortable while you nurse and rock your little one throughout the night!
That’s All Folks!
That’s it for our list of the best nursing chairs and best nursery gliders for your budget! As you can see, all the bells and whistles come with a higher price tag. However, since there are few pieces of furniture quite as important when it comes to your nursery, it is worth it to invest in good chair. You’ll thank me later!
